Who we are

Dan's Systems ("we", "us") is a UK technology consultancy operating this website at www.danssystems.co.uk and related applications, including Zippy Booking. We are the data controller for personal data described in this policy. Contact us at hello@danssystems.com.

Information we collect

• Contact details you submit through our forms: name, company, email address, phone number and message content.
• Account data if you create an account in one of our applications, such as your name, email address and settings.
• Connected service data that you explicitly authorise us to access via OAuth (for example Google account profile, email address, calendar or mail data), used only to deliver the features you asked for.
• Technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, used for security and to keep the service running.

How we use your information

• To respond to enquiries and provide the services you request.
• To operate, secure, maintain and improve our applications.
• To deliver features that depend on services you have connected.
• To meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or to train generalised AI models.

Google user data

Where you connect a Google account, our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We request the narrowest scopes needed, access your data only to provide user-facing features, never transfer it to third parties except as necessary to provide those features or to comply with law, and never use it for advertising. You can revoke access at any time from your Google Account permissions page or by contacting us.

Legal bases (UK/EU GDPR)

We process personal data on the basis of your consent (for connected accounts and marketing), performance of a contract (delivering our services), legitimate interests (securing and improving our services) and legal obligation (record keeping).

Sharing and processors

We share data only with service providers who help us run the business — hosting, database, email delivery and analytics providers — under contracts that require them to protect your data. We may disclose data where required by law.

Retention

We keep enquiry data for up to 24 months, account and connected-service data for as long as your account is active, and delete or anonymise data once it is no longer needed or on your request.

Security

Access tokens and credentials are stored encrypted, access is restricted to authorised personnel, and all traffic is served over HTTPS.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@danssystems.com and we will respond within 30 days. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for the site and applications to function, plus privacy-respecting usage measurement. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
